The Devon Cares Team:

Our team comprises:

  • Administrator (patient flow)
  • Finance Officer

The Head of service is responsible for leading the development of the service and partnership, focusing on outcomes-based and person-centered care, and accountable for the framework governance.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the flow of activity and information (KPIs, etc), and monitoring quality aspects of service provision, including leading complaint investigations.

The brokerage team is crucial in ensuring our capacity meets the demand across zones 1, 2 and 3.

The Finance Officer supports the Trust’s finance department in managing the invoicing and payment process, a task that includes collating variations in care provided against intended care plans to enable prompt payment to Devon Cares providers.

The Administrator (patient flow) provides office and administrative support to aid the smooth-running of the service. This postholder also manages the flow of information between providers and wards to enable prompt, safe discharges from Northern Devon NHS Trust sites.

Overall Northern Devon Healthcare Trust oversees the brokerage and monitoring, compliance, governance and quality, quality improvements, invoicing and payment, performance management and strategic development functions, requiring input from other departments in addition to the Devon Cares team.
