Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is the first NHS organisation to enter the domiciliary care market so you will be making history by joining us.

Our model is different to most domiciliary care contracts. Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust will not directly provide care, instead we will use our expertise and vision of joined up health and social care to organise and develop a sustainable, high quality domiciliary care market.  Our aim is to ensure clients can receive care when they need it and our providers work in partnership with us to deliver sustainable business models.

The new contract started on 18 July 2016 and we have selected providers to work with us to provide care across zones 1, 2 and 3.  All our tier 1, 2 and specialist/niche providers have successfully tendered to be part of Devon Cares. Providers have been selected on the basis of quality so clients can be confident of the quality of care they will receive.

We welcome all high quality providers to work with us across zones 1, 2 and 3.

If  Devon Cares identifies there is insufficient existing provider capacity to meet current or projected future demand, we will open our procurement window to new providers to apply to join Devon Cares. This will be through a procurement process on EU Supply.  You will need to register with EU Supply to receive email alerts. If you are interested in becoming a Devon Cares provider and would like to know when the procurement window will reopen, please contact us.

Please contact us if you would like to enquire about joining the Devon Cares framework.

As a public sector body we hold regular ‘light touch’ procurement windows where providers can apply to join Devon Cares.

Currently, there are over 50 providers on our framework and we are always happy to welcome new organisations who can demonstrate they share our ambition of offering clients a high quality, holistic and compassionate service.
