Traffic disruption in Barnstaple: Tour of Britain – Monday 3 September
The annual Tour of Britain cycling race is coming to North Devon this year, with the Devon stage of the race finishing in Barnstaple on Monday 3 September.
There are going to be road closures in the area, which will impact travel around North Devon.
The race organisers have advised us that delays are likely between 12 noon and 4 pm, and they advise against driving into Barnstaple town centre during the afternoon.
Please take note of the route and the road closures planned and ensure any travel arrangements take into account that your journey may take longer than usual.
